A piggy flu update

Well I'm off work at the minute with suspected swine flu! NOT nice. I'm doing a LOT of sleeping. Eurgh!!!

Anyhoo, things have changed A LOT since my last post. OH is now moving down to Wales to start his PhD at the start of November. So babies are off the menu for the next 3 years at least. I had lots to say but have forgotten everything. Damn, the flu!!

Got to £50 on youGov finally...yey me. Also, the shed is coming on in leaps and bounds. Just got the roof to go on on Saturday. Yey!

Colour code

Anything in black is still active, white means it's been done.

Green - doing well.
Red - not doing well or at all.

Red and green statements will be subject to change every month depending on whether or not I'm sticking to them or not. I spy some progress though.

Summer update

So we've started work out in the yard. The back wall has been dropped and the yard dug up. The foundations are being laid by OH and FIL as I type.

The big news I guess is that I'm going to apply for a new job - not sure how well it will go down at school given the fast turn around and I should work till christmas hols if I work my notice out. However, the start date for the job is 1st October. So...watch this space I guess. It's as an assistant educational psychologist which is exactly what I got into teaching for. Very exciting.

I've altered the text in my blog list as well. When it goes white it means it's been done. Fingers crossed we'll be seeing more and more whites. Think because some of these can't be met because they are weekly on going targets, I might colour code them to show whether I'm succeeding with meeting them or not. We shall see.

An update from a slacker!

Well everythings been a bit crazy due to finishing school and my SIL having a baby. So I'm only just getting round to updating this - although I have religiously updated everything else I was meant too. Anyway I think we've done very well just lately - including managing to pay off the credit card and getting much cheaper than expected car insurance!

Ordered and received and in just today changed over the new mattress - old one is in living room being collected by the council on Monday. New fridge/freezer is coming on Thursday and the old one is being taken away by the council on Saturday. Yey.

We ordered a whole new bathroom suit including tiles etc from B & Q for half price which should be here in the not too distant. So all in all we are making headway with everything.

The other big thing is that we've had a builder quote for an outside brick built utility room/shed...which is way cheaper than we were expecting! So we are just waiting for a start date from him which will help.

Our other big news is that this month we decided to actively start trying for a baby! I'm secretly hoping it will take a few months just to get my head round it....but then again, the sooner the better! ha ha.

This weeks progress

Right, so I've tried my best to stick to this as best as I can this week. Although, there was one day were I had to buy my lunch and a couple of extra days where I spent on stupid stuff like milk and fuel to get me to work...other than that they would have been NSD's. So Weds, Thurs and today have been NSD's.

I will have to spend money tomorrow because it's one of my best friends birthdays and we are going out for a meal. Doh!

Went to see OH's grandma on Tuesday, she is looking rather frail at the mo. So I really do think we need to stick to that one. He's very close to her and I think we need to see her as often as we can while she's still with us.

I've done 30 mins or more on the Wii fit the last 3 days and my fitness test. Was going to do it on Tuesday but OH decided to argue with me about something instead which meant I couldn't use it. And my weight is currently at 8 stone 2. Fingers crossed it stays here.

Also progress has been made on the bedroom tidying front. A massive amount of progress was made actually....still a way to go though (lots of things to move up into the loft into it. Have also been keeping up with the washing up as well and doing the recycling.

Still trying to suss this out!

Is there anyway of changing the colour or putting a line through anything in my list that I have done? I just thought it would make it easier to spot the progress being made.

Day ONE - 99 of 101 things still to do!

Ok so I'm a bit of a fibber because I only set this up today when technically I did some stuff on my list yesterday...but its only because I couldn't be bothered writing the list first! OOphs!

Anyway lets see what I've done.....number one on the list is done....as you can see by the list being complete.

I'm also in the process of doing my first part of number 2 by updating this. Number 5 and 6 have been done for the week. I appear to have posted numbers 20 - 24 twice for no apparent reason with the same things...hmmm...thats the next thing to get sorted then.

As you can probably tell my biggest challenge lies with the house and the ridiculously long list of things I have to do to it (along with my OH). It's all so we can sell the house (which was a wreck when we bought it) to get a bigger one, so that we can have a family.

So far I've done number 80 and 84 (did it yesterday) and it should be here by June. Did the price comparison thing and went through quidco (although cashback will be minimal). So our nice new washing machine should be here sometime at the beginning of June at the latest! Currently we are going to the laundry FAR too regularly for my liking and it does my head in. I hate sitting in there trying to keep out of the way of dodgy people!

My main reason for doing this is a way to see what I have done in a bid to motivate me. I have a tendency to loose site of things which gets me down. So if I have a check list and I can monitor progress, it keeps me focused. Right time to go and be constructive!!!
